NASHVILLE, TN (September 21, 2009) - Walmart announced plans today to offer Colt Ford's new Average Joe's Entertainment, DVD/CD, Country Is As Country Does exclusively in their stores and on Walmart.com.
Available October 6, 2009, Country Is As Country Does, will retail for $10.00, and features six tracks never before available in stores. Country Is As Country Does includes three new Colt Ford songs: "Left You In The Dust," "A Day In The Life," and "Big White Redneck," as well as the previously released digital exclusives, "Buck 'Em," and "Huntin' the World".
Both "Buck 'Em" and "Huntin' The World" have garnered Ford national attention yet were never formally released on an album. Ford debuted the music video for "Buck 'Em" in 2007 at a PBR Event at New York's Madison Square Garden, and "Huntin' The World" has received numerous awards as the theme song for the popular Outdoor Channel Show. A live version of "Dirt Road Anthem," a song from Ford's debut, featuring label mate Brantley Gilbert rounds out the set. Billboard recently called Ford's debut country debut album, Ride Through The Country, "an intriguing amalgam of country lyrics laced with hip-hop beats."

"Mr. Goodtime," indeed.
Headliner Colt Ford, a country-meets-hip-hop sensation, performed Tuesday night at the Crown Arena as part of the entertainment lineup for the 19th annual Cumberland County Fair.
Ford's brand of working man's hip-hop and party-time country music kept the crowd of 1,800 on its feet from the beginning to the end of his set.
Bomshel, the country music duo of Kristy Osmonson and Kelley Shepard, opened for Ford and had no small role in hyping up the crowd for him.
The duo gave a high-energy performance that set the bar pretty high for the evening and showed why they might have a headlining gig all their own one day.
Colt Ford fan Hank Statham, however, was definitely here to see his musical idol.
"Yeah! Colt Ford!" hollered Statham, who was decked out in Ford apparel head to toe.
"His music is fun, and it's as simple as that," said Statham, who drove from Lumberton with his girlfriend, Mary Frey, to see the concert.

Hey ya'll. Hope this finds everyone all right. I got a letter today from a lady in Alabama. The letter told me about her nephew that just got Killed on a 4-wheeler. She said that he was a big fan of my music and that it really described him and her sons and their way of life.
They played my song, "Ride Through The Country," at the funeral. She said that for that short time my song brought him back to them. I sat there in the studio today and cried for a while. To think that I was a part of something that could bring happiness in a time of sorrow. I just could not believe that. Ya'll say a prayer for the family in Alabama that lost a young man at such a young age. Make sure you tell your family and friends that you LOVE them.
Thank ya'll so much for giving me a chance to chase my dreams. I want youall to know that not a day goes by that I don't realize how lucky I am. I have the best friends in the world. I don't think of ya'll as fans, ya'll are friends and I will give out before I give up. I can't wait to see ya'll on the road somewhere soon.
God Bless,
Colt
If It Ain't One Artist, It's Another

Colt Ford is gearing up for a Walmart exclusive CD/DVD release on October 6th, COUNTRY IS AS COUNTRY DOES, that will feature fan favorites from the shows and select video outtakes, but that hasn't stopped Ford from recording tracks for his sophomore release on Average Joe's Entertainment, slated to hit stores in 2010.
In preparation for the follow-up of Billboard Top 25 country album and debut from Ford, RIDE THROUGH THE COUNTRY, that featured Jamey Johnson, John Michael Montgomery, and more, Ford is once again inviting friends to lend their style to his record. Artists, like Jamie O'Neal, will join Ford on collaborated vocals for the upcoming album, yet to be named.
Pictured is O'Neal at Tater Shack Studio in Nashville, Tennessee where she recorded "(If It Ain't One Thing) It's Your Mother" with Ford.
"Jamie is such a class-act and one of the top female vocalists in country music," says Ford. "She tears-it-up on this song."
Ford, Noah Gordon, and Lauren Briant co-wrote the track.
